Sherhunda Gentry has 15 years proven expertise across key areas including organizational leadership, client advocacy and case management. Sherhunda holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with a concentration in Organizational Leadership and Social Services from the University of Memphis and an Associate’s degree in Psychology from Southwest Tennessee Community College, currently a Notary of the State of Tennessee and hold a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification.
She previously served as Co-founder of Gentry and Perkins Disability Advocates, LLP that was recognized by Shelby County Mayor, Mark L. Luttrell and launched with the Memphis Chamber of Commerce and company sponsored by Paragon Bank where she became a Disability Advocate to assist social security claimants with the Social Security Disability process and received a proclamation for serving underserved communities.
In addition, Sherhunda is a Research and Litigation Specialist with Real Estate and Business Development knowledge. Her experience entails a comprehensive background in discharge planning, child and family services, child support, social security disability advocacy, human resources, realty and law and workforce development.
An example of her commitment to collaboration is when she engaged and provided informational workshops and expertise to major companies and community functions such as Memphis Strong Families, Promise Development, Memphis Nephrology Associates hosted by Dr. Jyothishree Pinnaka, MD and Shelby County Schools Parent Summit and Transition Fair endorsed by Shelby County Schools Exceptional Children Council Chair.
